Job Description:

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a solution architect role(s) in large scale, complex technology programmes and strategic initiatives in the Banking or Financial Services industry
• Strong experience of producing architectural blueprints and solution design documentation spanning all the layers of our infrastructure stack (including EMC, Cisco, VMware, Windows, Linux, MS SQL & Oracle).
• Cloud Architecture experience (particularly Azure)
• In depth experience of security best practices and compliance standards both on premise and in cloud environments.
• Expertise in the application of architectural thinking, evaluating design options, recognising architectural significance and developing abstracted views of processes, business systems and/or functions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on delivery high-quality solutions.
• Experience of working within both Waterfall and Agile delivery environments.
• Experience of designing solutions for cloud environments and/or migrating existing solutions to cloud.
• Experience of working in a Large Enterprise or FTSE 100 organisation or significant public sector organisations.

Qualifications

• CITP or CEng or equivalent rounded IT experience
• TOGAF or equivalent related business technology architect qualification
• Membership of relevant architecture/IT professional associations (eg, BCS, IASA)
