HERS Authorising Officer (NHSS8) (Permanent)

Location: United Kingdom Country: UK Rate: c£33k to £37k
 
  • HERS Authorising Officer (NHSS8)
  • Field-Based in the Midlands or North West
  • £33,000 to £37,000 per year (+ Company Car or Car Allowance)

The Opportunity:

Our client is on the lookout for a Highways Electrical Registration Scheme Officer to act as an authoritative figure in authorising and certifying electrical work on highways technology projects.

You will cover operational sites across your patch, auditing and reviewing HERS portfolios, identify areas for improvement and collaborating with operatives and management to develop action plans.

This role would suit an individual from a Highways Technology or Traffic Signals Installation/Maintenance background who is looking to take a step away from hands-on field engineering.

Skills and Experience:

  • Comprehensive experience in various highways electrical operations
  • A thorough understanding of requirements of the HERS handbook and National Highway Sector Scheme 8
  • HERS Qualified Supervisor or HERS Authorising Officer
  • Strong organisational skills communication skills
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and delegation abilities
  • Proficiency in IT
  • Ability to work independently
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel
  • Commitment to ongoing CPD for continuous learning and development
